The landscape around food in Devon is one that touches all areas of life in Devon.
It is recognised that the diverse aspects of food, from growing, processing and cooking through to access, affordability and food security all impact the lives of people in Devon and its wellbeing and economy.
Many people and groups are involved in aspects of food in Devon. Following issues raised at Devon Strategic Partnership workshops and a paper to the Board, the DSP Board mandated a task and finish group to be convened to look at the different aspects of food and whether action was required to take a strategic overview.
A multi-partner group has worked together over an extended period to formulate a food strategy that was presented to the DSP Board in July 2014. The document and its appendices can be accessed via the link below.
